Evening of Memories

In December Ryan and I have been asked to speak at the St. Luke's 'Evening of Memories' about Zoey and quite honestly, I am stumped! So need your suggestions...seriously!
It's a short speech (about 10 minutes) and we were asked to share our story and ways that we honor and remember Zoey-munkin.

Ryan is great at sharing our story and very personable and likeable- he recently spoke at several St. Luke's Staff Meetings and there were many people which expressed how touched and impressed they were. I'm not so good at the 'talking' thing but would like to know what you do to honor and remember those loved ones who have passed?
It may provide me with some ideas on how to prepare my talk for the upcoming program.

We've attended this program for the past 3 years and it's such a neat service St. Luke's sponsors so we'd like it to be a good experience for those listening....

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Delicious

I'll admit and there is no shame: I have zero control when it comes to Ryan's persuasive baking abilities. Especially when faced with this:

Caramel Apple Butter Pie with hand-made crust.

Or these:
An apple pie within an apple = Delicious!

Very good and VERY bad for my figure!
Which is why I finally decided to:
Chop off my hair......
(needed a new look but kept waiting to lose weight first then eventually, "Nah- just do it already!")
...and become like "Waldo" but in the female version as "Wenda."
Okay, this was my Halloween Costume (yes, a bit lame) but it did help detract from the extra 15 pounds recently gained because of all the delicious treats and my inability to resist.

Two words: worth it!

A Quick Escape

With our opposite work schedules, it's not often we spend time together so we were excited when Ryan's parents gifted us with tickets to the Boise State Game on Saturday. We located a last-minute babysitter and headed downtown!
It was a perfect afternoon and a great way to spend a few hours together.
It goes to say; Boise State Bronco fans are loud and crazy!

Both of our new career paths are still going well and we feel blessed for the opportunities that have been placed along our path. Change is always a constant and keeps us on our toes.
Between Ayla, work, church callings, volunteer work and family activities, it's an adventure and time is flying fast. Hard to believe another year is almost finished...but what a year it has been!
