Let's be 'kind'

Every month, on the 8th day, we do something 'kind' in honor of Zoey-Munkin.
It doesn't have to be grandeur or note-worthy, just something extra kind for another person to bring a smile to their day.
It feels good.
So good that I try to do something everyday...no matter how small. Like telling the person at the cash register how much their smile is appreciated. Or holding the door for the individual behind me. Sometimes it's a wink to a somber-faced person who needs a smile or an extra-long hug for someone you love.
Whatever it is, it matters.

On the day of Zoey's passing it snowed, then lightly rained. Last year on the 8th, it snowed and lightly rained.
This year on the 8th, it also snowed and lightly rained....we believe that is Zoey's special sign. How cool is that?

So tonight we brought Zoey a new windmill, cleaned her headstone and remembered how teensy and small her fingers and hands were as we held her.

It's been 2 years and we still miss and love you every day Zoey-Munkin!
