6 Days Old!

Today Ayla & Zoey are 6 days old and holding stable; they had a good day and night. Each day is precious and we appreciate your prayers and love!
Little Ayla is holding my finger and Zoey is in her new bed called a 'Giraffe', a fancy new 'cadillac' bed for preemies which self-regulates. Ayla will be getting a new bed as soon as one is available.

Baby Angels

Surprise and they are here! At only 25 weeks Ayla & Zoey were born, they are 'micro-prremies' and precious little angels. Both are stable today but have a long road ahead of them. We have faith that they will be able to come home healthy and happy with no lasting effects from their brain bleeds. Thank you for your prayers and concerns! We will try to keep updated on their progress- it is an hour-by-hour process at this point so we're taking it 24 hours at a time.....

Boise Special Olympics

This week the Winter Special Olympic Games are being hosted in Boise! We headed downtown to the Qwest Arena to catch the Ice Skating competitions but they had just ended when we arrived. So we walked around the venues, smiling at the athletes, browsing the outdoor/indoor shops and watching people from all over the world. It lightly rained and snowed and was quite cold outside...but great to see all the people supporting these games! Boise is certainly a-buzz this week!

Funny Story

I couldn't resist posting this...can you guess what these used to be?
The story goes:
There was a monkey who liked to jump & swing, especially from handles designed for the 'Perfect Pull- Up' bar. Handles not necessarily designed for flipping and hanging from the ceiling. One day, the monkey decided to take a running flying-kung-foo-panda-like-leap onto the handles and flip upside down while rotating the handles at the same time.....CRASH!!
The monkey fell straight onto his back, head bouncing off the carpeted floor as the companion monkey looked on (trying hard not to laugh but making sure the wild monkey was okay). No lasting damage but to the poor handle bars....can you guess who the 'monkey' might be?
