A-Z Poster

Me? Crafts? Oh the horror of it!
In preparation for the upcoming March of Dimes walk, we were invited to an event where Team Families created a poster with their pictures and story to be displayed along the walk. This poster was to depict why we walk and support the March of Dimes Program.

Those who know me understand my lack of craftiness and creativity as it pertains to making cute stuff- it's just not how my brain is wired.
However, after slapping some glue and crafty-paper-looking- stuff to a poster board, it didn't turn-out too badly!

In other news: we came home with a binder (yes, a BINDER) from Ayla's therapy clinic titled, "Tips and Tools for Challenging Behavior for Toddlers"....haha! Little Miss Ayla has developed quite the feisty attitude and we need all the help we can get to re-direct and channel some of those naughtier ones.
She's such a joy and has a wicked sense of humor but some days....are a challenge.
She has her mothers temper and her father's non-stop energy and teasing....can you imagine the crazy fun (or crazy battles) we have?
She's always such a great help around the house, especially when the vacuum makes an appearance.

Hockey Night

Date Night- wahooo!
The March of Dimes Organization invited us to the Steelheads Hockey Game last weekend and we located a last-moment babysitter for Ayla and headed out for a much needed night out.

The game was action-filled and we met with several of the March of Dimes staff and family supporters.
What a neat organization adn we had a great time!
The walk is coming up within a few weeks and we're still rallying troops for our Team and supporting the cause.
The water bottle is a reminder of just how small premature babies can be- Ayla and Zoey both weighed as much as a standard bottle of water. Crazy, right?

Be Random- RAK

Random Act of Kindness....

On the 8th of March was Zoey's 4th Anniversary Passing and in her honor, we made a visit to her grave site with a small gift and remembered to perform a conscious Random Act of Kindness. Not that a special day is needed to provide an act of kindness but it's a nice way to carry on a small part of her spirit here on earth.

Being kind is easy and there are so many little things that make a huge difference- performing an act of kindness doesn't need to be grand or hard. Below is a list of RAK's that we've performed or had given to us and the best part.....the majority of them are FREE!
Feel free to include a few of these into your days over the next several weeks.

  • Smile
  • Hold the Door Open for someone (when this happens to me I LOVE it)
  • Read to a child (even if it's your own)
  • Return a Shopping Cart to where it belongs
  • Write a letter to someone who has made a difference in your life
